A short recap video of the social event hosted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong & Macao, celebrating the Italian National Day in 2022. Due to the dimmed environment and limited lighting, the footage was slightly underexposed and colour corrected in post-production.

A YouTube video discussing the concerns Hong Kong parents have when searching for boarding schools in the UK for their children. This interview-style video utilises b-roll shots and on-screen texts to help convey the message. It was made for an overseas education consultancy, LinkedU, and is posted on YouTube as part of their marketing campaign.

Part of a series of social media commercials created for Dandier Fashion. Footages were shot during a photo shoot for their latest collection. This specific aspect ratio was used for posting on Instagram.

A short-form video ad edited for a clothing company specialising in plus-size men's fashion. The texts were written in a way that would instantly call out the target audience and draw their attention. The relatable frustration with finding the perfect clothing for plus-size men is then pointed out to create a hook and retain prospects to keep watching. Testimonials were added to reinforce credibility. The simple yet concise description of Built Different's clothing and call-to-action towards the end signals the viewers to visit their website and complete branding. All footage was provided by Built Different and music was sourced from YouTube's copyright-free music library.

A social media ad made to advertise the free wellness consultation package offer by Medika, a cosmetic and wellness centre based in Manchester, UK. Stock videos were used for the composition. Soothing music and motion graphics were used to create the sense of relaxation, cleanliness and professionality.

A social media ad made to advertise the "Plevin refund" services provided by a law firm client based in the UK. The narration was voiced by a part-time content creator that we hired. The script and animation are kept simple to better target our demographics and to suit the short form video feed on social media platforms.

A video extract edited from a podcast hosted by entrepreneur and influencer, Chase Jarvis with Ryan Holiday, a best-selling author. This vertical minute-long edit adheres to the posting format of Instagram Reels and YouTube Short. Motion graphics are added to the intro and outro to fit the online branding of Chase Jarvis. Titles and end cards are added to attract viewers and provide a call to action to visit his other social media pages.

An interview with our fellow schoolmates was conducted to explore the topics of female sexual pleasure and well-being. The theme of this video is Talk, discussing the nuances and importance of communication within any sexual relationship. Produced as part of our video series, the 3 other themes are Safety, Consent and Pleasure. Lets4play is a social media campaign created with the goal of spreading awareness about sexual well-being.

Images were taken in burst mode while moving sideways slowly and edited in post-production to create a 3-dimensional effect.

A montage of shenanigans with my friends that attempts a nonchalant, Hip-Hop, retro and youthful style. This is reinforced by the seemingly random effects and order of the looping parallax photos but in fact done so to establish and introduce the 3 main “characters” from this edit. Pairing with a Cantonese rap song, the emotion of insubordination and rebellion was communicated.

An experimentation of the video editing trend: Datamoshing. The effects of the “surface” of a shot being masked onto the preceding shot and pixels in motion being duplicated and dragged out were achieved using this special editing technique, which was by “destroying” or duplicating specific frame data. While nowadays this effects can be done within After Effects with a third-party plugin, it cannot be normally done with a modern editing software. Though, that was what I did: using a specific outdated software that its flaws happen to allow for this operation. The result of a datamoshed video sometimes cannot be read properly and so I did final touch-up and processed it through a modern software (FCPX) so that it comes out a coherent piece with sound working as well.
